As an undergraduate at Harvard University, Aaron intended to study medicine and become a doctor — as had his father and grandfather before him — but his path was to lead him to a different kind of healing. Aaron’s initial study of the martial art Ninjitsu led him to discover Tibetan Buddhism. As he delved further into Buddhist meditation, he changed his major from Pre-Med to the Comparative Study of Religion, recognizing that meditation held a deep truth to which he would dedicate his life. Before graduating magna cum laude, Aaron spent a semester abroad studying Buddhism in Mongolia, living in a yurt with nomads and studying with monks in a monastery. It was on this journey that he was handed Barbara Brennan’s seminal text on energy healing, “Hands of Light,” which introduced him to Kundalini Yoga and opened his eyes to the possibility of uniting spiritual practice with healing work.
After returning to the U.S., Aaron completed the Master’s Touch Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Yogi Bhajan in New Mexico, and has been studying Sat Nam Rasayan exclusively with Guru Dev Singh, the world lineage holder of the tradition, since 2003. To complement his healing knowledge, Aaron earned his degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, graduating at the top of his class. He is licensed to practice acupuncture in both California and New York. After graduating with his Chinese Medicine degree, Aaron took a year-long sabbatical in order to study with healers, yogis, and shaman in ten different countries, including Hawaii (U.S.), China, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, India, England, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Brazil.
After returning from this transformative trip, Aaron established his private healing practice in New York City, which now has a second location in the Hamptons. In addition to offering distance and in-person healing sessions, Aaron also teaches yoga and meditation classes, leads weekend and week-long retreats, and speaks to companies and organizations.
