Meet Aaron
Counselor, Healer & Meditation Teacher
Aaron’s interest in meditation and spirituality ignited as a teenager when he began practicing the Japanese martial art of ninjutsu, ultimately earning a black belt. As an undergraduate at Harvard University, Aaron explored the philosophical and spiritual roots of ninjutsu, which led him to study esoteric forms of Japanese and Tibetan Buddhism. This pursuit culminated in a semester abroad in Mongolia, where he lived in yurts with nomads and shamans, and studied with Buddhist monks.
After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard in the Comparative Study of Religion and Philosophy, Aaron found himself at a crossroads, torn between becoming a doctor or a Buddhist monk. Exploring his options, Aaron drove across the United States in order to attend conferences, visit institutes, and shadow with innumerable practitioners – including doctors, osteopaths, naturopaths, energy healers, acupuncturists, and yogis. This journey ultimately opened his eyes to a range of paths for integrating spiritual practice with healing work.
On this trip, Aaron discovered Kundalini Yoga, in which he found a system of yogic and meditation techniques that offered the depth and development of spiritual experience that he was seeking. He went on to complete the Master’s Touch Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Yogi Bhajan in New Mexico, and has now been practicing and teaching this tradition for over fifteen years.
Early in his yogic practice, Aaron connected with Guru Dev Singh, the world lineage holder of Sat Nam Rasayan – a healing technique based in Kundalini Yoga in which the instrument for healing is meditative awareness. Since 2003, Aaron has traveled the world studying with Guru Dev Singh, and is an advanced practitioner and instructor of Sat Nam Rasayan, which serves as the foundation of his healing practice.
To complement his Sat Nam Rasayan training, Aaron earned his degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, graduating at the top of his class. He is licensed to practice acupuncture in both California and New York. After graduating with his Chinese Medicine degree, Aaron took a year-long sabbatical in order to study with healers, yogis, and shamans in ten different countries, including Hawaii (U.S.), China, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, India, England, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Brazil.
After returning from this enlightening trip, Aaron established his private healing practice and continues to work with clients from all over the world through his phone-based healing sessions. In addition, he also leads workshops and retreats on meditation and Sat Nam Rasayan, and speaks nationally at conferences and for various groups and organizations.
